VerifiedModule density keyed to return depth — 4/ft in shallow ≤3″ cans (SloanLED minimum), 1.5/ft at 4″, 1.2/ft at 5–8″ (Prism24 Standard White). Multi-row layouts start 3″ off the return.
Rule of thumbColored acrylic packs ~40% tighter than white; count assumes one row along the estimated stroke length (perimeter ÷ 2). Wide strokes need more rows — set them at left.
VerifyLoading defaults to 80% (conservative). SloanLED's own capacity charts already assume 90% — don't derate twice. Confirm module wattage & supply capacity against your product datasheet.
